There are a couple was to make this work, but you'll need to act fast, Valentine's Day is just around the corner!
1. Choose to cater to those in love.
This isn't too difficult. For most businesses, there's a simple way to do this.
Restaurant? Two meals for the price of one with your significant other.
Retailer? 25% off for that special someone.
Warehouse? Give couples a free 2x4" to resolve conflicts.
The basic idea is to get the customers into your doors so they can spend more money. Even if you end up not making much, keeping yourself in the front of their minds is always a good thing.
2. Choose to gain the love of those who are not in love.
Though we aren't big fans of Hooters in general, they recently generated some very inexpensive publicity by offering a free meal to anyone who brought in a picture of their ex to be shredded. While it's a little sick of a concept, it brought a new dimension of thinking to the space.
Instead of just thinking about the people who are perfectly content in love (or something like that), maybe give some thought to those who aren't. You could really win them over and get some great word-of-mouth.
